Wales Manor established the first commercial vineyard in
Collin County in 1999. Wales Manor again added to the Texas
wine tradition when it opened the first commercial winery in
Collin County in 2003. The winery and vineyard, located five
miles from downtown McKinney and 45 minutes from downtown
Dallas, are open to the public on weekends. Weddings and
special events are a large part of the business and are
offered by appointment.
